Maple Leaf Day Care and Education Centre is committed to collaborating with local community-based organizations to support families and enhance experiences for children. By working together with other agencies Maple Leaf Day Care and Education Centre can enhance program delivery, link parents to needed services and address community needs and concerns.

Maple Leaf Day Care and Education Centre will establish ongoing relationships with the University of Toronto’s I-Think Initiative, local schools and local family support services. Children and their families will benefit from this relationship through regular exposure to community family support agencies and the supports they provide to the community.

The provision of support services to children with exceptional needs will play an integral part in service delivery. The program will access the supported childcare program as appropriate to successfully meet the developmental needs of individual children.

Maple Leaf Day Care and Education Centre will offer planned Field trips into the community for the children, offering new experiences, learning opportunities, new knowledge and skills. Field Trips can be planned for anytime. The child’s parent will be advised in advance of the activity, including the transportation and supervision arrangements with respect to the activity and consent in writing to the child’s participation in the activity will be obtained from the parent for each activity.

Maple Leaf Day Care and Education Centre plans to open its doors outside of regular operating hours to the community in order to assist families and community members with furthering their education. It is the hope of Maple Leaf Day Care and Education Centre that they become a valuable community resource themselves.
